But then I read this book by Marie Kondo, called The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Have you read it? It’s kind of amazing. So the gist of the book is, if the item doesn’t bring you joy, then get rid of it. Don’t hang on to birthday cards and bad gifts just because you feel guilty about throwing them out or donating them. Thank the gift or card for it’s original purpose and then part with it.
It might seem super simple or obvious, but when I read that I was like, “wow!” Mind blown. That just really clicked in my head and it helped me.
And that’s what it’s like to learn how to do something from someone else, instead of struggling with it on your own.
